Abstract: Based on discussing about the problems and difficulties faced by forestry development in Yuxi Municipality,it was proposed that improving the ecological environment around the three major lakes,maintaining ecological safety of the Pearl River and the Red River valleys,speeding up the sustainable development of forestry in this Municipality would be the rational option for the implementation strategy of building Yuxi Municipality by ecological principles.
