Abstract: The forecasting model of forest fire hazard was established on the basis of analyzing the influence of meteorological conditions upon forest fire hazard and the meteorological factor grades were calculated by means of determining power weight for these influencing factors. It was proposed that a remote automatic monitor network should be set up for the key forest areas all around Yuxi Municipality based on multiple meteorological elements in order to realize the target to precisely foretell the forest fire hazard to forest compartment level so as to reduce the loss and damage from forest fires to the greatest extent.
