Abstract: The record of forest fire disaster between 2004 and 2006 in Eshan County,Yunnan Province was analyzed to find out the problems related to forest fire management and to sum up the rule of forest fire occurrence in the county. Integrated with forest fire control practice in the Eshan County,the corresponding countermeasures including enhancement of publicity,management of fire source,exchange of fire information,reinforcement of fire fighting team,and increment of fire control investment for forest fire control and prevention were proposed.
