Abstract: The study showed that the major problems existing in walnut industry development in Jianxing Township, Xinping County includes miscellaneous in cultivars, primitive ways for walnut tree tending and management,low in per area nut output, poor in site conditions in the walnut cultivation bases and neglectful in tending of trees, and etc. The recommendation for making better use of the local advantages to speed up the development of walnut industry in the studied area and countermeasures to overcome the existing problems were put forward in the paper.
