Abstract:
Based on the investigation and records of the 130 varieties of ornamental lotus (Nelumbo cvs) at Wufu Town Lotus Varieties Breeding Base in Wuyishan City, Fujian Province, an evaluation system consisting of four norms and 20 evaluation factors including the morphological characteristics, ornamental characteristics, adaptability, and additional values for landscape usage was established by analytical hierarchy process ( AHP) method. The weights of the 20 evaluation factors were determined, all the lotus varieties were divided into 4 scales, namely excellent, good, fine, bad varieties, among which the weights of resistance, growth, reproductive capacity and the density of flowers, date of initial florescence, the strength of management, and showy situation of flower were 0270 1, 01560, 0081 4, 0064 9,0064 7,and 0057 5, respectively, accounting for a large proportion. According to the evaluation scores of each variety based on the evaluation system, 40 excellent varieties, whose adaptability, ornamental characteristics were better than others, were selected out, and could be used in landscape directly.
