Abstract:
Wolbachia is a group of intracellular symbionts ubiquitously occurred in arthropods. To investigate the Wolbachia infection in Scleroderma guani, wsp gene of Wolbachia in Sguani were detected with universal primers and genespecific primers of A and B supergroups. The sequences obtained were named as wSgu, wSguA and wSguB with the lenth of 620, 572bp and 463bp, respectively. Gene sequence analysis showed that the difference of base pairs were large between wSgu and wSguB, and their nucleotide identity was only 60%. Phylogenetic analysis showed that this parasitic wasp was infected with AWolbachia, while whether this parasitic wasp infected with BWolbachia remains to be further investigated.
