Abstract:
Taken annual Schefflera venulosa shoots as cuttings, the L9 (34) orthogonal test was carried out in the nursery of Forestry Research Institute of Pu′er Municipality. The cutting experiment has been done with 3 factors and 3 levels of different cutting length, exogenous hormones, hormone concentrations to find out the influence of exogenous hormones on rooting rate of Schefflera venulosa. The results showed that different cutting lengths had significant effects on the rooting rate, average root length and maximum root length of Schefflera venulosa. The effect of different exogenous hormones on the rooting of Schefflera venulosa was significant, the suitable exogenous hormones for the cuttage of Schefflera venulosa was IBA. The effect of exogenous hormones concentration on the rooting of Schefflera venulosa was not significant. The best combination of rooting rate, number and average root length was 10cm cutting length, 300mg/L IBA, and 893% rooting rate which could be used in the production.
