Abstract:
In this paper we investigated the genetic diversity and clonal structure of
Myriophyllum spicatum, a dominant submerged plant in Lashihai Lake, using ISSR analysis.The results showed that there have relatively high levels of genetic diversity (
H=0.155 9,
I=0.239 2) and clonal diversity (
D=0.917 3) across the distribution range, based on the polymorphic loci of
M.spicatum. There has no obviously difference of genetic diversity among 3 distinct populations, but no common genotype was found in them. These results indicated that the high genetic diversity and clonal diversity maybe the main mechanisms of
M.spicatum causing to flourish in Lashihai Lake in short time.
