Abstract:
Two different types seeds of
Pinus yunnanensis (straight and twisted or crooked) were used as experimental material, the germination characteristics were analyzed. The results showed that there was larger variation in 8 germination characteristics including germination rate, germination potential, average germination time, average germination coefficient, daily germination rate, germination index, peak value and germination value. The coefficient of variation in straight type was 8.13%-41.20% and 9.45%-42.35% in straight and twisted or crooked type. All the germination characteristics variation coefficient of the twisted or crooked type were higher than that of the straight type, the straight type was more stable, the phenotypic variations were not significant between straight and twisted or crooked types. There was a highly significant difference under the germination characteristics except for germination potential among different plants within the same type, but all germination characteristics were not significant between straight and twisted or crooked types. It suggested that the difference of seed germination characteristics was not obvious between straight and twisted or crooked types.
