Paraserianthes clones were tested in Boluo, Guangdong. The study of early growth showed that the survival rates were 94.3% and 94.2% respectively when the test stand was 0.5-year-old and 1.5-year-old.There were significant differences in growth and quality traits among the 14 clones (
P < 0.01);the mean height, DBH, and individual tree volume were 5.83 m, 6.67 cm and 0.011 7 m
3 at age 1.5, the repeatability of the 3 growth traits reached more than 0.7;primary clones included 161, 160, 176, 171, 238, the average survival rate of which reached 88.00%, and they could obtain volume real gain of 28.18%-68.18% compared with control.
