Abstract:
This study was to screen the effective post-emergence herbicides for
Eremochloa ophiuyoidesby testing 3 single herbicides (MCPA, Fluroxypyr, Rimsulfuron) and 2 herbicide mixtures (CF, Clethodim+Flazasulfuron; MS, Mesotrione+Sulosulfuron) on the control of 14 grass weeds, 60 broadleaf weeds, and 3 sedge weeds, and in a
E. ophiuyoides plot experiment. The results showed that the different herbicides performed significant different effects in the weed control. The effects of grass weed control was ranked as MS > CF > Rim = MCPA > Flur. The effects of broadleaf weed control was ranked as MS = CF > MCPA = Flur > Rim. The effects of sedge weed control was ranked as MS = CF > Rim> MCPA >Flur. The field plot experiment also confirmed that 2 herbicide mixtures of MS and CF performed significant better weed control than that of 3 single herbicides (MCPA, Fluroxypyr, Rimsulfuron) in
E. ophiuyoides. Our results indicated that the herbicide mixtures of MS and CF performed the best weed control and could be recommended as post-emergence herbicides for weed control in
E. ophiuyoides.
