Abstract:
Based on our own investigations and a literature search, we constructed a list of wild seed plants in Dinghushan Nature Reserve, and analyzed the floristic characteristics of this region. The results indicated that 1755 wild seed plants belonging to 171 families and 783 genera are distributed in Dinghushan Natural Reserve. The floristic composition of families and genera has obvious subtropical characteristics, and there are 10 characteristic families including Lauraceae, Moraceae, Fagaceae, Aquifoliaceae, Pentaphylacaceae, Theaceae, Symplocaceae, Smilacaceae, Sabiaceae and Schisandraceae in the flora. The geographical areal-types in the flora are dominated by tropical elements that 97 tropical families and 30 temperate families account for 76.38% and 23.62% of the total non world families, respectively, while 566 tropical genera and 161 temperate genera account for 77.86% and 21.19% of the total non world genera, respectively. The ratio of tropical component to temperate component of families and genera is between that of the central subtropical region and the northern edge of the tropics, which is consistent with the characteristics of the south subtropical monsoon climate zone. At the species level, the species distributed in the Tropical Southeast Asia to Indo-Malaya and Tropical Southwest Pacific Islands areal-type account for 45.25% of the total non world species, which reflects the close relationship between the plant species in this region and the flora of tropical Asia. In addition, endemic phenomenon at the species level is obvious that 217 species are endemic to China, accounting for 13.38% of the total number of non world species.
