Abstract:
Jatropha protein adhesive was prepared by potassium permanganate(KMnO
4) oxidation treatment in this study. On this basis, polyurethane(PUR), epoxy resin(EP), KH560 was blended and cross-linked with oxidized Jatropha protein adhesive, and the effect of cross-linking agent on its bonding performance was explored. Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and dynamic thermomechanical analysis(DMA) instruments were used to analyze its performance. The results showed that the water resistance of the Jatropha protein adhesive was significantly improved by adding 12% KMnO
4 oxidation treatment, the dry strength of plywood and 3h 63℃ water soaking wet strength were 1.16MPa MPa and 0.77 MPa , respectively. The dry and wet strength of Jatropha protein adhesives that with KH560 as crosslinker have been improved. the dry strength of plywood as high as 1.64 MPa, the 3 h 63 ℃ water soaking wet strength and 24 h cold water soaking strength were 0.83 MPa and 1.04 MPa.
