Abstract:
The research progress and current situation of salt tolerance, heavy metal resistance, drought resistance, waterlogging tolerance, cold tolerance and heat tolerance of poplar, eucalyptus and other major broad-leaved timber species in subtropical regions were reviewed. The adaptive changes of morphology, physiology, biochemistry, and molecular phenotypes of various tree species under different environment and resistance breeding were summarized. The deficiencies in abiotic stress of typical broad-leaved timber and the problems that need to be further explored were proposed, and the prospects were also put forward.
