Abstract:
HPLC was used to determine the content of polyphyllin I, polyphyllin II, and polyphyllin VII from 49 samples of 7-year-old
Paris polyphylla var.
chinensis, and the influencing factors of polyphyllin content were analyzed. The results showed that the total polyphyllin content in 49 samples of
P. polphylla var.
chinensis from Fujian were 0.179% –1.820%, and 32 of the test materials met the requirements of the pharmacopoeia. In the total content, polyphyllin VII occupies an absolute advantage, reaching 94.75%, while polyphyllin I and polyphyllin II only account for 5.25%. The geographical origin, growth ages, and altitude had a significant impact on the polyphyllin content of
P. polphylla var.
chinensis, while the month of excavation, longitude, and latitude had no significant impact.
