A Review on Bushfire Research in Australia

  • 摘要: 澳大利亚灌木林地面积约占国土面积的19%,对维持区域生态系统稳定、促进生态循环具有重要作用,但每年灌木林火灾的发生对当地经济和环境造成了巨大破坏。澳大利亚灌木林火灾研究起步早,研究方法先进,研究成果应用广泛,处置灌木火灾及时有效。本研究从灌木林火灾发生机制、火灾影响、火管理和火预警监测及扑救等方面阐述了澳大利亚灌木林火灾相关研究进展,展望了未来灌木林火的研究方向。通过分析研究澳大利亚灌木林火灾,把握澳大利亚灌木林火灾发生机制和火时空分布规律,为我国灌木林的可燃物管理、灌木林火预防、监测和扑救等提供参考。

     

    Abstract: The shrub forest area of Australia accounts for about 19% of the land area, which plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the regional ecosystem and promoting the ecological cycle, but the annual occurrence of shrub fires causes significant losses to the regional economy and environment. Bush fire research in Australia started early, the research method is advanced, the research results are widely applied, and the treatment of bush fire is timely and effective. This paper expounds the progress of research on bushfires in Australia from aspects such as the occurrence mechanism of bushfires, environmental and ecological impacts, temporal and spatial patterns of bushfires, fire management and monitoring-early-warning systems, and risk assessment technologies. The future research direction for shrub fires is also discussed. The results can provide inspiration for fuel management in Chinese shrublands, monitoring of shrubland fires, and formulation of policies for their management and protection.
