Abstract:
Taking semi-lignified branches as cutting material, an orthogonal cuttage experiment of Photinia glabra "Rubens" was designed with four factors and three levels to determine the plant growth regulator concentration, the soaking time duration, the cuttage length and other technical parameters. The rooting rate, the mean root number and the mean length of the new roots were measured and the relations among the above factors as well as the optimal combination were studied. The results showed that the best combination for optimal P. glabra "Rubens" cuttage propagation was taking 100 mg/L of ABT, 10-15 cm long cuttings prepared with the middle to basal part of the semi-lignified branches and soaking the cuttings in the ABT solution for 2-3 h before operation.
