Abstract:
The interspecific competition among the dominant tree species in the Alniphyllum fortunei secondary forest in the Meihuashan Nature Reserve was studied by means of calculating LotkaVolterra competition coefficients with niche overlapping measurement formulae, and by comparing the ratio values of competition coefficients and K values. The results indicated that A.fortunei occupied the predominant status in the competition with other accompanying tree species in the surveyed community, and some of the accompanying tree species might be eliminated gradually in the future.
