Abstract: This paper summarized the evaluation system of tourism environment capacity.The tourism environment capacity could be divided into four branch index systems, including the space capacity of tourism environment, the ecological capacity of tourism environment, the facility capacity of tourism environment, and the social capacity of tourism environment.The tourism environment capacity of the Basomtso Lake scenic area was evaluated with above four branch index systems, and it was concluded that the tourism resources in Basomtso Lake scenic area has not been fully developed, and the space capacity of tourism environment was the limiting factor.Some development proposals and adjusting measures were put forward.
