Abstract: This paper summarized the surface wettability, surface color, permeability, and roughness of bamboo culms, and describes the recent research advance in its surface performance. It also made some recommendations to the research on bamboo surface performance as a reference for the processing of bamboo culm resources and the further research on bamboo surface performance.
