Abstract: The 3DS MAX Script scripting language was employed to formulate the programs in order to achieve computer aided furniture design with 3DS MAX interface.Taking a sofa design as an example,the shape of the sofa was designed through model building,manufacture materials with different quality were assigned to match the model,illumination was applied to present the texture of the manufacture materials,a camera was fixed and the animation was created to realize 360 °show of the furniture design effect.The result showed that 3DS MAX Script scripting language was an effective interface assisting customers to participate furniture design,it is also a practicable method helping furniture stores to achieve virtual reality design.
