Abstract:
Cyclocarya paliurus is an important resource plant with very high pharmaceutical value and healthcare function. On the basis of discussing about the selections of explants including render leaves, stem segments, axillary buds and excised embryos, culture media and plant growth regulators proper to the tissue culture of C. paliurus, together with the fast propagation techniques and related research progress in recent years were summarized. The problems commonly occurred in the course of tissue culture such as contamination, browning and difficult rooting were discussed. It was pointed out that the relevant key research aspects were to explore the rooting mechanism for tissue culture plantlets and to develop the techniques promoting somatic embryogenesis.
