Abstract:
The Pinus massoniana veneer was degreased with alkali solution, and then its physical and mechanical properties were studied. The results showed that after the degreasing treatment, the air dry density of the P. massoniana veneer increased slightly, the thickness swelling rate and water absorption rate all increased. Whereas the longitudinal elastic modulus decreased sharply, the longitudinal bending strength dropped slightly, and the acidbase properties of the veneer changed from being slightly acid to slightly alkali.
