Abstract:
Selective cutting has become a basic operation model in closetonatural forest management, how to implement it by taking the economic benefits of forestry enterprises into account is an important research topic in sustainable forest development. A new marketing model based on the concept of pantimberstorage in form of standing volume (PTS) is developed along with the improvement of hardware condition and management techniques in forest management unit. Stemform measures and mass data transmission of standing trees was used to develop the pantimberstorage model. According to the DBH data ranged from 12 cm to 48 cm of Mytilaria laosensis stands distributed on upslope, midslope and downhill in Daqingshan Forest Farm in Guangxi Province, using statistic model to fit the tree height curve and taper equation to develop the PTS model, and developed Mytilaria laosensis marketing process to achieve maximum growth of trees without loss of general timber storage were presented. The application of this PTS model in timber forest management as a new marketing approach is discussed.
