Abstract:
Column chromatography was applied to study the chemical constituents of Daphe holosericea, and 12 compounds were isolated from this plant species. The structures of the 12 compounds were identified as βsitosterol (1), 1hexadecanol (2), syringaldehyde (3), caffeic acid ndueicosanyl ester (4), βsitosteryl butyrate (5), apigenin (6), 4(ethoxy) benzoic acid (7), (2R, 3S)2hydroxy2,3bis(4hydroxy3methoxybenzyl)4butanolide (8), phydroxylbenzaldehyde (9), panisic acid (10), phydroxybenzoic acid (11), 2hexylidene3methylsuccinic acid (12) by the spectral analyses and the physicochemical properties. Compounds 2, 3, and 512 were isolated for the first time from this plant species.
