Abstract: This study systematically reviews current literature on post-fire vegetation recovery in Australia, summarizing research advances in assessment methods, driving factors, and predictive models. Drawing on the experiences and insights derived from Australian practices, we propose targeted recommendations to enhance post-fire vegetation recovery research and ecological restoration in China. These recommendations, developed in light of China’s actual conditions and research needs, focus on four key aspects: understanding plant fire adaptation mechanisms, establishing a multi-scale assessment framework, enhancing data integration and model innovation, and optimizing restoration strategies.
